Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 7 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Beijing Time Value Technology Co., Ltd. (“InterviewPal”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of interviewpal.io and the practice tools on it (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

The Service is a self-practice tool for spoken interview answers. You answer practice questions out loud; we transcribe your speech and mark observable facts in it — filler words, speaking pace, pauses, whether the parts of a STAR answer appeared, and whether you used numbers or other concrete evidence. You may also paste a job description and résumé text to get questions for a specific role.

2. What the Service is not

3. Your account

You can use the first three practice questions without an account. Buying a pack requires an account so we can keep your unused questions. Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to create an account.

4. Prices, payment and taxes

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: unused questions are refundable within 7 days of purchase; questions you have already answered are not refundable. You can request a refund from the email address you used to buy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

7. Materials you provide

You keep the rights to your résumé, job descriptions and answers. You give us the limited licence we need to process them in order to run the Service — for example, to transcribe your audio and analyse your transcript. Job-description and résumé text is used to build your questions for the session and is not kept afterwards. Audio recordings are deleted after transcription. We do not use your content to train AI models. Our Privacy Policy explains retention and sharing.

8. Our materials

The Service, including question sets, prompts, feedback wording, design and code, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own interview preparation.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the version and effective date above; continued use after that means you accept the new version.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is”. Transcripts and marked facts are automated output and may contain errors; check anything important yourself. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, or loss of profit, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Beijing, without affecting consumer rights you have where you live.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms: support@interviewpal.io. We reply within one business day (UTC+8).
